This policy explains what personal data Douglas Insights Inc collects through douglasinsights.com, how it is used and the choices you have. It applies to the website, sample requests, report purchases and consulting enquiries.

## Data we collect

- Forms: when you request a sample, contact us or enquire about consulting, we collect your name, work email, company and the message or report you selected.
- Orders: when you buy a report, our payment processor Stripe collects your payment details. Douglas Insights receives your name, email, company details and order information, never your full card number.
- Technical data: our hosting provider and Cloudflare log IP addresses and request data for security and performance. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage.
- Email: if you correspond with us, we keep the correspondence.

## How we use it

We use personal data to deliver samples and purchased reports, respond to enquiries, prepare consulting proposals, process payments and refunds, secure the site against abuse, and understand which research topics are in demand. We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked to hear from us, in which case every message includes an unsubscribe route.

## Who we share it with

Data is shared only with the service providers needed to operate: Stripe for payments, our email provider for delivery and correspondence, our hosting provider and Cloudflare for infrastructure, and Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics. Each processes data under its own published terms. We disclose data beyond this only where the law requires it.

## Cookies

The site sets the cookies needed for basic operation and analytics cookies from Google Analytics. We do not run advertising trackers or sell browsing data. You can block cookies in your browser; the site remains usable.

## Retention

Order records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. Lead and enquiry records are retained while a business relationship is active or reasonably prospective, and deleted on request. Server and security logs rotate on short cycles.

## Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to any use of it, by emailing support@douglasinsights.com. We respond within 30 days. Deletion requests are honored except where a record must be kept by law, such as a tax invoice.

## International transfers and updates
