About 3,100 organisations ran Coupa's spend management platform when the vendor reported its second fiscal 2026 quarter on [3 September 2025](https://www.coupa.com/newsroom/coupa-continues-arr-growth-trajectory-in-q2-fy26/), one supplier's slice of a countable installed base. The procurement analytics market covers the software and services that classify, benchmark and forecast what enterprises and public bodies buy, from spend cubes to supplier risk scores. Douglas Insights counts 46,800 paying subscriber organisations worldwide in 2025 at an average USD 119,600 a year each, and 46,800 x USD 119,600 = USD 5.60 billion. On that base the procurement analytics market reaches USD 22.50 billion by 2035, a revenue CAGR of 14.93% for 2026 to 2035, built from 9.85% subscriber growth and 4.62% annual price growth. The study belongs to our [enterprise software](https://www.douglasinsights.com/industry/ict-semiconductors/enterprise-software/) coverage and follows the published [research methodology](https://www.douglasinsights.com/research-methodology/).

## Which procurement analytics application makes the money: spend cubes or supplier risk scores?

Spend analytics makes the most money, at 34.6% of the 2025 procurement analytics total, or USD 1.94 billion. Cleansed, classified spend cubes are the first module every buyer licenses, so they lead on value even though supplier risk analytics grows fastest, at 17.26% a year to 2035.

| Procurement analytics segment | Share 2025 | Value 2025 | CAGR 2026-2035 | Value 2035 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Spend analytics | 34.6% | USD 1.94 billion | 12.93% | USD 6.53 billion |
| Supplier risk and performance analytics | 21.3% | USD 1.19 billion | 17.26% | USD 5.86 billion |
| Contract and compliance analytics | 15.8% | USD 884.4 million | 14.83% | USD 3.53 billion |
| Demand forecasting and category analytics | 13.9% | USD 778.0 million | 16.38% | USD 3.55 billion |
| Implementation and managed services | 14.4% | USD 806.0 million | 13.71% | USD 2.91 billion |

Spend analytics holds USD 1.94 billion because classification is the entry ticket. Every later procurement analytics use case, from savings tracking to category plans, reads from the same cleansed cube, and the segment compounds at 12.93% to USD 6.53 billion.

Supplier risk and performance analytics carries 21.3%, or USD 1.19 billion. It is the fastest segment at 17.26% a year because due diligence laws and tariff shocks turned supplier scoring from a quarterly report into a daily feed, lifting it to USD 5.86 billion by 2035.

Contract and compliance analytics takes 15.8%, worth USD 884.4 million. Buyers use it to catch off-contract spend and price leakage; growth of 14.83% takes it to USD 3.53 billion.

Demand forecasting and category analytics holds 13.9%, or USD 778.0 million, and grows 16.38% a year. Category managers pay for it once the spend cube is trusted, so it rides the second wave of each rollout.

Implementation and managed services account for 14.4%, or USD 806.0 million. Taxonomy design, data cleansing and outsourced analyst teams sit here; growth of 13.71% trails software because AI classification trims manual cleansing hours.

## Which cloud or on-premise deployment do procurement analytics buyers choose?

Cloud deployment wins 87.4% of 2025 procurement analytics value, or USD 4.89 billion, by Douglas Insights estimates. Buyers want benchmarks pooled across thousands of peers, and only multi-tenant software can supply them; on-premise installations keep USD 705.3 million, mostly in defence and regulated banking.

Pooled data is the reason. Coupa says its proprietary dataset covers USD 8 trillion of spend, and Sievo says it processes spend equivalent to more than 2% of global gross domestic product each year. Neither figure is reachable from a single on-premise procurement analytics server.

On-premise demand persists where data sovereignty rules apply. Defence ministries, some state-owned utilities and a minority of banking and financial services groups keep procurement analytics inside their own data centres. Douglas Insights expects the on-premise share to fall below 6% by 2035.

End users split along familiar lines: manufacturing buyers care about direct materials and supplier risk, retail buyers about indirect and goods-not-for-resale spend, healthcare systems about clinical supply contracts, and the public sector about transparency reporting.

## Why are enterprises adding procurement analytics subscriptions at 9.85% a year?

Subscriber organisations grow 9.85% a year, from 46,800 in 2025 to about 119,700 in 2035. Four forces add 12.60 points of gross procurement analytics adoption, and the restraints in the next section take back 2.75 points to land on the net volume leg.

### Artificial intelligence (AI) agents inside spend tools: 3.85 points

Agentic AI shortens the path from data to decision, and that pulls mid-sized buyers into procurement analytics. Coupa launched Navi AI agents across sourcing, contracts, invoicing and analytics, and on [15 December 2025](https://www.coupa.com/newsroom/coupas-ai-driven-procurement-saves-customers-almost-15b-in-q3-fy26) reported more than USD 425 billion of business spend managed in its third fiscal 2026 quarter, plus 65 new customer logos. Zycus markets a Merlin Analytics Agent that it says cuts manual analysis effort by 70% and answers a procurement query in under 15 seconds. Agents also shrink the analyst headcount a mid-sized buyer needs, so firms with 250 to 999 employees supply about 41% of new procurement analytics subscribers through 2030 in our model. Douglas Insights assigns this driver 3.85 points of subscriber growth.

### Supplier due diligence: 3.10 points

Due diligence rules force companies to map and score suppliers, and procurement analytics is the cheapest way to do it at scale. Germany's Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) has applied since 1 January 2023 to companies with at least 3,000 employees and, according to the [Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA)](https://www.bafa.de/EN/Supply_Chain_Act/Overview/overview_node.html), since 1 January 2024 to those with at least 1,000. A risk analysis is mandatory under the Act. The driver adds 3.10 points.

### Tariff and sourcing volatility: 3.05 points

Tariff swings make supplier switching a monthly exercise. Coupa released a Tariff Planning and Modeling app in its second fiscal 2026 quarter, when it added more than 190 new organisations, and completed the acquisition of supplier discovery platform Scoutbee, announced on [6 October 2025](https://blog.scoutbee.com/coupa-acquires-scoutbee). Sourcing teams now run scenario models before each award. Douglas Insights credits tariff and sourcing volatility with 3.05 points.

### Public procurement transparency: 2.60 points

Public buyers are a late but large procurement analytics cohort. The United Kingdom's Procurement Act 2023 took effect on [24 February 2025](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/procurement-act-2023-short-guides/the-procurement-act-2023-a-short-guide-for-suppliers-html), moving notices onto Find a Tender as the central digital platform and extending 30-day payment terms deeper into supply chains. Contracting authorities need clean spend data to publish what the Act demands. The public sector driver adds 2.60 points, and the four drivers total 12.60 points.

## Which bottlenecks in enterprise resource planning (ERP) data slow procurement analytics rollouts?

Three bottlenecks remove 2.75 points from gross procurement analytics adoption, cutting subscriber growth from 12.60% to 9.85% a year. Dirty ERP supplier masters, analytics bundled free into suites and a shortage of category analysts each delay or shrink deals across every region.

Data quality removes 1.35 points. Sievo says it collects and enriches more than 100 million ERP supplier records a year, a number that shows how much duplicate and misspelled vendor data a procurement analytics project must clean before the first dashboard is trusted. Projects that start without a taxonomy often stall for two to three quarters.

Suite bundling removes 0.85 points. SAP made its Spend Control Tower available with AI-enabled spend classification, and Oracle ships negotiation and supplier dashboards inside Fusion Cloud Procurement. A buyer already paying for a suite counts those dashboards as good enough, so a standalone procurement analytics subscription never gets signed.

Skills and budget scrutiny remove 0.55 points. Chief procurement officers must show a payback inside a year, and few teams employ analysts who can turn a cube into a category plan. Smaller buyers wait.

## How much do enterprises pay a year for a procurement analytics subscription?

The average procurement analytics subscriber pays USD 119,600 a year in 2025, by Douglas Insights estimates, rising 4.62% a year to about USD 187,900 by 2035. Realised bands run from USD 35,000 for a mid-market spend cube to USD 650,000 for a global suite tier.

Mid-market buyers with under USD 1 billion of addressable spend typically pay USD 35,000 to USD 90,000 a year for spend classification and standard dashboards. Large enterprises licensing supplier risk, contract analytics and forecasting pay USD 180,000 to USD 650,000. One-off implementation projects add USD 60,000 to USD 400,000, depending on how many ERP instances feed the procurement analytics cube.

The 4.62% price leg comes from three sources: AI agent modules sold as add-ons, renewal uplifts of 3% to 5%, and a shift of buyers from single-module to multi-module contracts. Vendors rarely publish list prices, so these bands are Douglas Insights estimates built from module scopes rather than published price lists.

## What savings do procurement analytics buyers book against managed spend?

Coupa customers booked nearly USD 15 billion of savings on more than USD 425 billion of managed spend in one quarter, a 3.53% yield. At that rate a USD 119,600 procurement analytics subscription pays back on about USD 3.4 million of spend.

The ratio holds across quarters. In the second fiscal 2026 quarter Coupa reported USD 14 billion of savings on USD 421 billion of platform volume, a 3.33% yield, and its [third-quarter release](https://www.coupa.com/newsroom/coupas-ai-driven-procurement-saves-customers-almost-15b-in-q3-fy26) put lifetime customer savings at USD 288 billion.

Specialists make similar claims. Zycus says its Autonomous Negotiation Agent adds 2% to 3% savings on tail spend, and Sievo claims a 63x return on investment (ROI) for its procurement analytics customers. These are vendor figures, not audited results, and Douglas Insights treats them as upper bounds when sizing willingness to pay.

## Which vendors win procurement analytics deals, suites or specialists?

Suites lead: Douglas Insights puts SAP at a 12.8% share of 2025 procurement analytics revenue, Coupa at 10.9% and Oracle at 6.1%. The top three hold 29.8%, leaving most of the USD 5.60 billion to specialists, consultancies and service firms worldwide.

The shares are Douglas Insights estimates anchored on disclosed customer counts, spend volumes and product scope, because none of the leaders reports procurement analytics revenue separately.

| Company | What the procurement analytics position rests on | Disclosed figure read this run |
| --- | --- | --- |
| SAP | Ariba, SAP Business Network and Spend Control Tower | 107 G2 Winter 2025 awards across spend products |
| Coupa | Community spend data and Navi AI agents | About 3,100 organisations; USD 8 trillion dataset |
| Oracle | Fusion Cloud Procurement dashboards in the ERP suite | No count disclosed |
| Zycus | Merlin agentic AI across eight modules | 500+ brands |
| Sievo | Specialist spend classification and enrichment | 100 million+ supplier records a year |
| GEP | GEP Quantum Intelligence platform plus consulting | No count disclosed |
| JAGGAER | Source-to-pay suite founded in 1995 | No count disclosed |
| Ivalua | Configurable suite with public sector buyers such as NYC | No count disclosed |

SAP's position rests on installed ERP: the procurement analytics layer reaches buyers who already run Ariba. Coupa's rests on pooled community data and the 6 October 2025 Scoutbee deal, which added AI supplier discovery. Oracle sells analytics inside its ERP contracts. Zycus says more than 500 brands use its platform. Sievo is a pure analytics specialist, naming Mars, Deutsche Telekom and Sanofi as customers. GEP pairs software with strategy consulting, JAGGAER brings more than 30 years in source-to-pay, and Ivalua counts IKEA and Rolls Royce among its users.

## Where does procurement analytics spending grow fastest after North America?

Asia Pacific grows fastest, at 17.62% a year, while North America leads with USD 2.17 billion, or 38.7% of 2025 procurement analytics revenue. Large Asian manufacturers are digitising supplier bases for the first time, so the region starts from 24.1% and climbs.

| Region | 2025 | 2035 | CAGR 2026-2035 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| North America | USD 2.17 billion | USD 7.77 billion | 13.62% |
| Europe | USD 1.53 billion | USD 5.56 billion | 13.74% |
| Asia Pacific | USD 1.35 billion | USD 6.84 billion | 17.62% |
| Latin America | USD 313.4 million | USD 1.31 billion | 15.38% |
| Middle East and Africa | USD 235.2 million | USD 1.03 billion | 15.88% |

North America holds USD 2.17 billion and grows 13.62% to USD 7.77 billion; most suite vendors book their first deals there. Europe follows with USD 1.53 billion and 13.74% growth to USD 5.56 billion, supported by due diligence law. The region counts 64,000 large enterprises with 250 or more employees, according to [Eurostat data published on 25 October 2024](https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-eurostat-news/w/ddn-20241025-1), and they produce 51% of EU business turnover.

Asia Pacific starts at USD 1.35 billion and reaches USD 6.84 billion. Latin America holds USD 313.4 million and grows 15.38% as Brazilian and Mexican manufacturers add supplier scoring.

Middle East and Africa is the wildcard: USD 235.2 million in 2025, growing 15.88% to about USD 1.03 billion as Gulf buyers add procurement analytics alongside new ERP rollouts.

## Which supply chain rules and procurement laws force analytics spending?

Two laws matter most for procurement analytics: Germany's LkSG, covering firms with 1,000 or more employees since 2024, and the UK Procurement Act 2023, in force since 24 February 2025. Both demand documented supplier data that spreadsheets cannot sustain at enterprise scale.

The LkSG requires risk management, a risk analysis, preventive measures, a complaints procedure and documentation. BAFA extended the reporting deadline, with reports due by 31 December 2025 and no sanctions for earlier missed deadlines, according to the [BAFA overview](https://www.bafa.de/EN/Supply_Chain_Act/Overview/overview_node.html). Every in-scope company needs a supplier risk register, and procurement analytics tools build one from purchase data.

The UK Act moved public procurement notices onto a single platform and introduced a competitive flexible procedure. Contracting authorities must publish more about what they buy, and from whom. Douglas Insights expects public sector procurement analytics subscribers to grow faster than the 9.85% average through 2030.

## What if AI sourcing agents spread faster: the procurement analytics forecast to 2035?

The base case reaches USD 22.50 billion in 2035; a slower case ends at USD 16.29 billion and a faster case at USD 30.19 billion. Agent adoption speed decides the gap, because it moves both subscriber counts and the price per procurement analytics contract.

The base case uses 9.85% subscriber growth and 4.62% price growth. The slower case cuts the legs to 7.10% and 3.90%, a 11.28% revenue CAGR, if suite bundling deepens and buyers treat ERP dashboards as sufficient. The faster case lifts them to 12.40% and 5.30%, an 18.36% CAGR, if deals like the 6 October 2025 Scoutbee acquisition make AI supplier discovery standard in every procurement analytics licence.

Sensitivity is steep. One extra point of subscriber growth adds about USD 2.13 billion to the 2035 value; one point less removes about USD 1.97 billion.

Rival published forecasts sit between 19.2% and 25.8% a year over shorter horizons. Our 14.93% is lower because a ten-year view lets growth decay as large-enterprise adoption saturates.

## Is procurement analytics a spend cube, a risk feed or a planning tool?

Procurement analytics is all three, and 2025 revenue splits 34.6% cube, 21.3% risk feed and 13.9% planning by Douglas Insights estimates. Buyers buy the cube first, then add risk scoring and demand forecasting once the classified data is trusted by finance.

The scope excludes transaction software such as purchase-to-pay workflows and e-invoicing, and payments. Sibling markets cover adjacent layers: the [Business Process Management Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/business-process-management-market/) report sizes the workflow side, the [Enterprise Data Observability Platforms Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/enterprise-data-observability-platforms-market/) report covers data pipeline health, and the [Artificial Intelligence Applications Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/artificial-intelligence-applications-market/) report covers horizontal AI.

## Douglas Exclusive: the Procurement Analytics Vendor Disclosure Scorecard

The scorecard is a Douglas Insights count built from 11 vendor and investor pages read in October 2026. It scores 8 procurement analytics vendors on 5 yes or no disclosure tests, 40 cells in all, and finds only 17 of 40 answered, or 42.5%.

The five tests ask whether the vendor publishes a customer count, a spend or data volume, a named AI analytics agent, a supplier risk or discovery capability, and a quantified customer outcome. Coupa scores 5 of 5. Zycus scores 4. Sievo scores 3. SAP scores 2. Oracle, GEP and JAGGAER score 1 each. Ivalua scores 0 on the pages read.

The finding matters for buyers. Procurement analytics vendors sell transparency yet disclose little about themselves: only 2 of 8 publish a spend volume and only 3 of 8 publish a customer outcome figure. Buyers comparing tools should ask for reference spend under management before shortlisting. The scorecard is our own count, not an industry register, and it rates disclosure, not product quality.

## How we count procurement analytics subscribers and price each contract?

Douglas Insights tallies 46,800 subscriber organisations across 5 regions and multiplies by USD 119,600, giving USD 5.60 billion. The count combines vendor customer disclosures from Coupa and Zycus with the 64,000 EU large-enterprise pool counted by Eurostat, then applies modelled adoption rates by region.

The model uses 23 data points: 4 published CAGRs, 6 vendor disclosures, 5 regional splits, 5 segment splits and 3 regulatory thresholds. Europe's 12,800 modelled subscribers equal about 20% of the EU large-enterprise pool; North American adoption runs higher.

Two cross-checks test the receipt. Coupa's roughly 3,100 organisations against our 10.9% share imply an average of about USD 197,000 per Coupa customer, inside our enterprise band. A published 2025 market size of USD 7.46 billion sits 33% above ours; the gap reflects scope, since we exclude logistics and inventory analytics.
