## Key takeaways

- The U.S. glass reinforced plastic market is worth USD 8.18 billion in 2025 and USD 12.59 billion in 2035, a 4.40% revenue CAGR.
- About 2.40 million tonnes at an average USD 3,410 per tonne form the 2025 base; tonnage grows 2.85% a year and price 1.51%.
- Transportation holds 28.0% of value; pipes, tanks and infrastructure grow fastest at 5.80% a year.
- The South buys 38.0% of value; the West grows fastest at 4.80% a year.
- GFRP rebar costs 1.9 to 3.3 times carbon steel on FDOT bids but less than stainless at every size, so heavy bridge-deck bars convert first.

The Department of Commerce set final anti-dumping margins of 41.82% to 104.31% for named exporters and 147.85% for all other Chinese producers of fiberglass door panels in a [Federal Register notice of 15 June 2026](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2026-06-15/html/2026-11930.htm), and the U.S. International Trade Commission voted that the imports injured domestic makers on [9 July 2026](https://www.usitc.gov/press_room/news_release/2026/er0709_68900.htm). The U.S. glass reinforced plastic market covers parts, profiles, pipes, laminates and compounds made in the United States from glass fiber held in a thermoset or thermoplastic resin: vehicle panels, bath and door skins, pipes and tanks, grating, rebar, boat hulls, electrical housings and wind blades. Douglas Insights sizes it at USD 8.18 billion in 2025, about 2.40 million tonnes at an average USD 3,410 per tonne, and at USD 12.59 billion in 2035, a 4.40% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). The study is the United States row of our worldwide [Glass Reinforced Plastic Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/glass-reinforced-plastic-market/) model and sits in our [advanced materials and composites coverage](https://www.douglasinsights.com/industry/chemicals-materials/advanced-materials-composites/), beside the [Thermoset Composites Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/thermoset-composites-market/), [Fiberglass Cloth Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/fiberglass-cloth-market/) and [Structural Core Materials Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/structural-core-materials-market/) reports; every figure follows the Douglas Insights [research methodology](https://www.douglasinsights.com/research-methodology/).

## Which end use leads U.S. glass reinforced plastic value: vehicles, buildings or pipes and tanks?

Transportation leads U.S. glass reinforced plastic value with 28.0% of 2025 sales, about USD 2.29 billion, Douglas Insights estimates. Pipes, tanks and infrastructure grow fastest, at 5.80% a year to USD 2.73 billion by 2035, on corrosion-proof water and bridge work.

| End use | Share 2025 | Value 2025 | CAGR 2026-2035 | Value 2035 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Transportation | 28.0% | USD 2.29 billion | 4.10% | USD 3.42 billion |
| Construction | 26.5% | USD 2.17 billion | 4.30% | USD 3.30 billion |
| Pipes, tanks and infrastructure | 19.0% | USD 1.56 billion | 5.80% | USD 2.73 billion |
| Electrical and electronics | 11.0% | USD 900 million | 4.80% | USD 1.44 billion |
| Marine | 7.0% | USD 573 million | 2.80% | USD 755 million |
| Consumer and other goods | 5.5% | USD 450 million | 3.20% | USD 617 million |
| Wind energy | 3.0% | USD 246 million | 5.00% | USD 400 million |

Transportation glass reinforced plastic is mostly sheet moulding compound (SMC) panels for heavy trucks and pickups, short-fibre glass-filled polypropylene and nylon under the hood, and battery covers. The Federal Reserve counted an average 10.18 million motor vehicle assemblies at an annual rate in 2025, 9.93 million of them cars and light trucks and 0.25 million medium and heavy trucks, its [G.17 release of 18 February 2026](https://www.federalreserve.gov/Releases/g17/20260218/table3.htm) shows. At about 85 kg of glass reinforced plastic per light vehicle and far more per truck cab, a Douglas Insights estimate, the segment grows 4.10% a year to USD 3.42 billion.

Construction glass reinforced plastic, USD 2.17 billion, is fiberglass entry doors, bathtubs and shower stalls, cooling-tower parts, window lineals and roof panels. Electrical and electronics, USD 900 million, covers glass-filled connectors, switchgear housings, utility enclosures and circuit-board laminate made in the United States. Marine, USD 573 million, is the slowest at 2.80% because boat demand is cyclical, while wind energy, only 3.0% of value, grows 5.00% as blade plants restart. End-use values for 2035 sum to USD 12.67 billion, 0.63% above the headline.

## Which resins and processes carry U.S. glass reinforced plastic: polyester, thermoplastics or epoxy?

Unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester laminates carry about 54% of U.S. glass reinforced plastic value in 2025, Douglas Insights estimates, glass-filled thermoplastic compounds about 38% and epoxy about 8%, mostly in wind blades and electrical laminate.

The thermoset side is the classic fiberglass industry. The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) reported that its tracked glass-reinforced polyester and vinyl ester shipments in the United States and Canada came to "more than 1.9 billion pounds" in the first half of 2025, down 4.1% on a year earlier, with construction taking 34%, infrastructure 26% and transportation 21%, in its [2026 State of the Industry report of 3 February 2026](https://acmanet.org/2026-state-of-the-industry-report/). Annualised and limited to the United States, that is about 1.45 million tonnes of thermoset glass reinforced plastic, a Douglas Insights estimate.

Glass-filled thermoplastics add about 0.95 million tonnes: polypropylene, nylon and polybutylene terephthalate compounds with 20% to 40% chopped glass, injection moulded into car, appliance and connector parts. Processes split roughly into open moulding (hand lay-up and spray-up for boats, tubs and tanks), compression moulding of SMC and bulk moulding compound, pultrusion for profiles, grating and rebar, filament winding for pipe and tanks, and resin infusion for blades and large hulls. Pultrusion grows fastest, about 6.4% a year in our model, because rebar and utility poles are new outlets rather than replacements.

## What drives U.S. glass reinforced plastic demand: rebar and pipe, truck panels or domestic door supply?

U.S. glass reinforced plastic tonnage rises 2.85% a year in our base case, from about 2.40 million tonnes in 2025 to 3.18 million in 2035. Four drivers add 3.60 points of gross volume growth before restraints remove 0.75 points.

### Corrosion-proof infrastructure and GFRP rebar: 1.20 points

Infrastructure is the largest driver, worth 1.20 points. Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebar does not rust, which matters on salt-exposed bridge decks and seawalls, and the American Concrete Institute added ACI CODE-440.11-22, its building code for concrete reinforced with GFRP bars, and the MNL-7(23) design handbook to its ACI PLUS platform on [8 July 2026](https://www.concrete.org/newsandevents/news/newsdetail.aspx?f=51751830). Supply is following: JobsOhio said on [17 March 2026](https://www.jobsohio.com/newsroom/news-press/canadian-manufacturer-to-build-new-northwest-ohio-facility) that V-Rod USA will invest USD 7.296 million and hire 60 people at a fiberglass rebar plant in Edon, Ohio, for bridge and viaduct work. If GFRP rebar doubles its share of reinforcement on state bridge decks by 2035, about 60,000 tonnes of glass reinforced plastic a year are added, worth about USD 400 million, a Douglas Insights calculation.

### Truck panels, battery enclosures and lightweighting: 0.90 points

Vehicles add 0.90 points. Core Molding Technologies, an Ohio maker of SMC and glass-filled moulded parts, lifted product revenue 19.7% to USD 64.8 million in the quarter to 30 September 2026 on recovering truck production and won a battery energy storage award, its [results of 3 November 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001026655/000102665526000072/a8-k991pressreleaseq32026.htm) show. Battery enclosures and covers in glass-reinforced SMC weigh less than steel and do not corrode; each 1% of light vehicles that adopts one adds about 1,500 tonnes a year, a Douglas Insights estimate.

### Domestic fiberglass door and building products: 0.85 points

Construction adds 0.85 points. The final anti-dumping order on fiberglass door panels from China, with a China-wide rate of 147.85% and suspension of liquidation for entries from 22 January 2026 under the [15 June 2026 determination](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2026-06-15/html/2026-11930.htm), pushes door makers toward domestic SMC skins. The petitioners, the American Fiberglass Door Coalition of Therma-Tru, PlastPro and Owens Corning, were named in the [USITC scheduling notice of 6 February 2026](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2026-02-06/pdf/2026-02403.pdf). Douglas Insights estimates that replacing half of the imported panels adds about 18,000 tonnes of domestic moulding a year.

### Electrical equipment and wind blade restarts: 0.65 points

Grid, data center and wind work add the last 0.65 points. The Energy Information Administration said developers planned 11.8 gigawatts of wind for 2026, more than double the 2025 amount, in its [note of 20 February 2026](https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=67205), and TPI Composites said on [6 July 2026](https://tpicomposites.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Unknown-2.pdf) that it had left Chapter 11 with no debt, keeping its Iowa blade plant running. Summed, 1.20 + 0.90 + 0.85 + 0.65 = 3.60 points; after restraints, the 2.85% volume leg multiplied by the 1.51% price leg gives the 4.40% revenue rate.

## What holds back U.S. glass reinforced plastic: soft housing, weak boat sales or fiber supply shifts?

Three restraints remove 0.75 points a year from U.S. glass reinforced plastic volume growth: soft housing takes 0.30 points, the marine downturn 0.20 points and glass fiber supply changes 0.25 points.

Housing is the heaviest drag on glass reinforced plastic. Builders started 1,358,700 homes in 2025, down 0.6%, and single-family starts fell 6.9% to 943,000, the Census Bureau's [December 2025 release of 18 February 2026](https://www.census.gov/construction/nrc/pdf/newresconst_202512.pdf) shows, and completions fell 7.9% to 1,497,800. Each new house carries about 300 kg of tubs, showers, doors and roof parts, a Douglas Insights estimate, so 100,000 fewer starts remove about 30,000 tonnes. Owens Corning's Doors segment sales fell 11% to USD 483 million in the quarter to 30 September 2026, its [results of 4 November 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001370946/000137094626000223/q32026exh-991pressrelease.htm) show.

Boats subtract 0.20 points. The National Marine Manufacturers Association counted 215,237 new boats sold at retail in 2025, down 8.8% from 236,070 in 2024, in its [release of 11 March 2026](https://www.nmma.org/press/article/25432), and most of those hulls and decks are hand-laid or infused fiberglass. Glass fiber supply takes the final 0.25 points: Owens Corning [completed the sale](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260430997267/en/Owens-Corning-Completes-Sale-of-Glass-Reinforcements-Business-to-Praana-Group) of its glass reinforcements business to Praana Group at a USD 645 million enterprise value, cut from USD 755 million, and Saint-Gobain took over the Lexington, North Carolina glass fiber plant on [31 July 2026](https://es.saint-gobain-northamerica.com/pressrelease/saint-gobain-completes-acquisition-electric-glass-fiber-americas-lexington-nc-glass-fiber-operations). Requalifying fiber after an ownership change delays some moulders by a quarter or two, a Douglas Insights estimate.

## Which U.S. region buys the most glass reinforced plastic, and where does value grow fastest?

The South buys the most U.S. glass reinforced plastic value, USD 3.11 billion or 38.0% of 2025 sales, Douglas Insights estimates. The West grows fastest, at 4.80% a year to USD 2.49 billion by 2035, on water pipe, wind and electrical work.

| Region | Value 2025 | Share 2025 | Value 2026 | CAGR 2026-2035 | Value 2035 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| South | USD 3.11 billion | 38.0% | USD 3.26 billion | 4.75% | USD 4.95 billion |
| Midwest | USD 2.46 billion | 30.0% | USD 2.55 billion | 4.05% | USD 3.65 billion |
| West | USD 1.56 billion | 19.0% | USD 1.63 billion | 4.80% | USD 2.49 billion |
| Northeast | USD 1.06 billion | 13.0% | USD 1.10 billion | 3.85% | USD 1.55 billion |

The South leads because it holds most boat building, Florida's GFRP bridge and seawall work, Gulf Coast pipe and tank fabrication and the largest share of new housing. Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and the Carolinas host many of the country's fiberglass boat plants, and North Carolina hosts the Lexington glass fiber plant. The Midwest, 30.0%, is the truck and car region: SMC and glass-filled compounds go to assembly plants in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, and Iowa holds TPI's blade factory.

The West grows fastest because water transmission pipe, cooling towers, utility enclosures and wind blades all gain there. The Northeast grows slowest, 3.85%, with older housing stock and fewer moulders. Regional values sum to USD 8.55 billion in 2026 and USD 12.64 billion in 2035, 0.35% above the headline.

## Which companies dominate U.S. glass reinforced plastic moulding and supply?

No company dominates U.S. glass reinforced plastic: Owens Corning leads with about 3.6% of 2025 part value through fiberglass doors, a Douglas Insights estimate, ahead of Teijin Automotive Technologies at 3.2% and Core Molding Technologies at 2.6%. The top three hold about 9.4%.

| Company | Base and glass reinforced plastic focus | Latest filed figure | Estimated share 2025 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Owens Corning | Toledo, Ohio; fiberglass doors, glass melting for insulation | Net sales USD 2.49 billion, quarter to 30 September 2026 | 3.6% |
| Teijin Automotive Technologies | Auburn Hills, Michigan; SMC body panels and truck parts | Sale to AURELIUS agreed 31 March 2025 | 3.2% |
| Core Molding Technologies | Columbus, Ohio; SMC and glass-filled moulded parts | Product revenue USD 64.8 million, quarter to 30 September 2026 | 2.6% |
| Brunswick Corporation | Mettawa, Illinois; fiberglass boats | Boat segment USD 394.4 million, quarter to 30 September 2026 | 2.1% |
| Malibu Boats | Loudon, Tennessee; fiberglass tow boats | Net sales USD 914.6 million, year to 30 June 2026 | 1.2% |
| TPI Composites | Scottsdale, Arizona; wind blades in Iowa | Left Chapter 11, 6 July 2026 | 1.0% |

Owens Corning reported net sales of USD 2.49 billion, down 7%, in the quarter to 30 September 2026, with Doors at USD 483 million and nine-month proceeds of USD 364 million from the reinforcements sale, its [4 November 2026 release](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001370946/000137094626000223/q32026exh-991pressrelease.htm) shows; Douglas Insights counts only the fiberglass door part value, about USD 295 million. Core Molding reported total revenue of USD 90.2 million, up 54.4% with USD 25.4 million of tooling, and guided 2026 sales flat to up 5%, its [8-K of 3 November 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001026655/000102665526000072/a8-k991pressreleaseq32026.htm) states.

Brunswick's boat segment grew 9.5% to USD 394.4 million in the quarter to September 2026, its [results of 29 October 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000014930/000001493026000130/q32026exhibit99_1.htm) show, and Malibu Boats sold 4,944 boats for USD 914.6 million in its year to 30 June 2026, up 13.3%, its [corrected results of 27 August 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001590976/000159097626000042/correctedex991-4q2026earni.htm) show. Teijin's North American automotive arm is valued from plant counts because it does not file separately; all shares count laminate and moulded part value only and are Douglas Insights estimates.

## How much does glass reinforced plastic cost in the United States, from compounds to rebar?

U.S. glass reinforced plastic averages about USD 3,410 per tonne, or USD 3.41 per kilogram, in 2025 across all parts and compounds, Douglas Insights estimates, from about USD 2.50 per kilogram for glass-filled compounds to above USD 8 for infused boat and blade laminate.

Price follows labour and glass content. Short-fibre glass-filled polypropylene and nylon compounds sit at about USD 2.50 to 3.20 per kilogram, a Douglas Insights estimate, because they are pellets sold by the railcar. SMC panels, delivered moulded and painted to an assembly plant, realise about USD 4.50 per kilogram; pultruded grating and profiles about USD 5.50 to 6.50; filament wound pipe about USD 4.00; and hand-laid boat hulls and infused blade shells USD 8 or more, because most of their cost is skilled labour.

Rebar shows the gap with steel. Florida Department of Transportation bid averages from 2023, presented at a [2025 FRP Institute workshop](https://fdotwww.blob.core.windows.net/sitefinity/docs/default-source/structures/innovation/2025-camx/2025-frpi_10-yearsfrp-rc.pdf?sfvrsn=ce8c5359_1), put installed GFRP bar at about USD 2.00 a linear foot for #4 bar and USD 4.50 for #8, against USD 0.60 and USD 2.40 for Grade 60 steel and USD 2.72 and USD 10.74 for stainless steel. GFRP rebar therefore costs about 1.9 to 3.3 times carbon steel but well under stainless.

The price leg rises 1.51% a year in our model, to about USD 3,460 per tonne in 2026 and USD 3,960 in 2035, as mix moves toward pultruded and engineered parts and away from commodity compounds, a Douglas Insights estimate.

## Will the fiberglass door panel duties bring moulding back to American plants?

Partly. Douglas Insights estimates the 2026 anti-dumping order moves about 18,000 tonnes a year of glass reinforced plastic door skin moulding to domestic SMC lines by 2028, worth about USD 80 million, because Chinese panels now face rates of 41.82% to 147.85%.

The [final determination of 15 June 2026](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2026-06-15/html/2026-11930.htm) set 73.07% for Anhui Xinyu and Wuxi Lutong, 41.82% for Dalian Capstone and 104.31% for the Jiangxi Fangda, Hangda and Onda group, with panels entering under HTS 3925.20.0010 and possibly 7019.90.5150. The [USITC vote of 9 July 2026](https://www.usitc.gov/press_room/news_release/2026/er0709_68900.htm) was unanimous among the three participating commissioners, so the order runs for at least five years before a sunset review.

Door makers can also source from third countries, so not all imports return home. Douglas Insights models half the lost Chinese volume as domestic, the rest shifting to other exporting countries, which is why the effect sits inside the 0.85-point construction driver rather than as a separate step.

## Which laws and standards govern U.S. glass reinforced plastic, from ACI 440 to styrene rules?

Three layers govern U.S. glass reinforced plastic: product codes such as ACI CODE-440.11-22 and ASTM D7957 for GFRP bars, trade remedies such as the 2026 fiberglass door panel order, and federal air rules for styrene emitted by open moulding plants.

The code layer sets where glass reinforced plastic may carry load. ACI CODE-440.11-22 covers design of concrete reinforced with GFRP bars made to ASTM D7957-22, and its July 2026 move onto [ACI PLUS](https://www.concrete.org/newsandevents/news/newsdetail.aspx?f=51751830) with the MNL-7(23) handbook makes it easier for engineers to specify. Building parts follow the International Building Code fire and flame-spread tests, and boats follow U.S. Coast Guard construction standards.

The air layer is stable. The Environmental Protection Agency's page on the national emission standards for reinforced plastic composites production, [updated 30 December 2025](https://www.epa.gov/node/125553), lists no new action since the 2020 amendments, so styrene limits on open moulding and gel coat do not change the forecast. The trade layer is set out in the [15 June 2026 notice](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2026-06-15/html/2026-11930.htm) and the [6 February 2026 USITC notice](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2026-02-06/pdf/2026-02403.pdf).

## What if housing stays weak or rebar takes off: how large is the U.S. glass reinforced plastic market in 2035?

The U.S. glass reinforced plastic market ends 2035 between USD 9.99 billion and USD 15.20 billion across our three cases, around a base of USD 12.59 billion. Housing starts and GFRP rebar adoption set most of the spread.

| Case | Volume leg | Price leg | Revenue rate | 2035 value |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Slower | 1.20% | 0.80% | 2.01% | USD 9.99 billion |
| Base case | 2.85% | 1.51% | 4.40% | USD 12.59 billion |
| Faster | 4.20% | 2.10% | 6.39% | USD 15.20 billion |

In the slower case single-family starts stay below the 943,000 of 2025, boat sales keep falling at the 8.8% pace NMMA reported for 2025 for two more years and state agencies keep GFRP rebar to pilot decks, taking 1.65 points off the volume leg. In the faster case GFRP rebar becomes a standard option on coastal bridge decks and wind installations hit the 11.8 gigawatts EIA listed for 2026 every year. One extra point of yearly volume growth adds about USD 1.28 billion to 2035 value.

Company signals bracket the base case widely. Core Molding's product revenue rose 19.7% and Malibu's sales 13.3%, while Owens Corning's net sales fell 7%, its Doors sales 11% and NMMA's 2025 boat count 8.8%, the filings above show; our 4.40% rate sits between the cyclical lows and the restocking highs.

## Douglas Exclusive: the American Glass Reinforced Plastic Rebar Cost Gap Ledger

The Rebar Cost Gap Ledger is a Douglas Insights model of glass reinforced plastic rebar economics, built from 9 published sources: 5 government and standards records, 2 company releases and 2 industry and development-agency records, listed below.

| Date | Input | What it moves |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 2023 bids, shown 2025 | FDOT installed bar prices by size | Cost gap |
| 3 February 2026 | ACMA: H1 2025 shipments down 4.1%, infrastructure 26% | Volume base |
| 18 February 2026 | Census: 1,358,700 housing starts in 2025 | Construction restraint |
| 20 February 2026 | EIA: 11.8 GW of wind planned for 2026 | Wind driver |
| 17 March 2026 | JobsOhio: V-Rod USA rebar plant, USD 7.296 million | Capacity |
| 15 June 2026 | Commerce: fiberglass door panel margins | Construction driver |
| 6 July 2026 | TPI leaves Chapter 11 | Wind capacity |
| 8 July 2026 | ACI CODE-440.11-22 on ACI PLUS | Specification |
| 3 November 2026 | Core Molding Q3 results | Transport signal |

The finding, a Douglas Insights estimate: GFRP rebar's premium over carbon steel shrinks as bars get thicker, from about 3.3 times at #4 to 1.9 times at #8 on the FDOT averages, while it stays below stainless steel at every size, 26% cheaper at #4 and 58% cheaper at #8. Heavy bars on bridge decks and seawalls are therefore where glass wins first, and that is where state work is concentrated.

The ledger puts American GFRP rebar at about 21,000 tonnes and USD 135 million in 2025, under 2% of glass reinforced plastic value, growing about 12% a year to USD 420 million in 2035 in the base case. New plants such as the Ohio line, plus a code engineers can now cite directly, are why Douglas Insights gives infrastructure the largest single driver.

## How does the methodology turn 2.40 million tonnes into USD 8.18 billion?

Our methodology multiplies about 2.40 million tonnes of U.S. glass reinforced plastic by an average USD 3,410 per tonne to reach USD 8.18 billion in 2025, then grows tonnage 2.85% and price 1.51% a year.

The model covers 7 end uses, 3 resin families and 4 Census regions, using 54 data points, 18 sourced and 36 modelled. Tonnes: about 1.45 million tonnes of thermoset laminate, scaled from the [ACMA first-half 2025 count](https://acmanet.org/2026-state-of-the-industry-report/) to a full year and to the United States, plus about 0.95 million tonnes of glass-filled thermoplastic compounds, Douglas Insights estimates. Arithmetic: 2.40 million x USD 3,410 = USD 8.18 billion; USD 8.18 billion x (1.0285 x 1.0151)^10 = USD 12.59 billion. Tonnage reaches about 2.47 million in 2026 and 3.18 million in 2035.

Two cross-checks agree. First, USD 8.18 billion is 87.5% of the USD 9.35 billion North America row in our worldwide model; Canada and Mexico take the remaining USD 1.17 billion and grow at an implied 3.69%, keeping the region at 4.32%. Second, at about 40% glass by weight, the tonnage implies about 0.96 million tonnes of glass fiber consumed, consistent with domestic furnace capacity plus imports. AI tools help draft the text and automated checks test the arithmetic and links; the Douglas Insights research desk chooses the sources, builds the model and approves publication, as our [editorial standards](https://www.douglasinsights.com/research-methodology/) explain.

## What counts in the U.S. glass reinforced plastic study, and what is excluded?

This study counts glass reinforced plastic parts, profiles, pipes, laminates and compounds made in the United States, valued at the moulder's or compounder's selling price. Carbon fiber composites, glass fiber sold as roving or mat, unreinforced resin and imported finished parts are excluded.

The study splits value by 7 end uses, 3 resin families and the 4 Census regions. Carbon and recycled blade material appear in our [Thermoplastic Carbon Fiber Composites Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/thermoplastic-carbon-fiber-composites-market/) and [Wind Turbine Blade Recycling Market](https://www.douglasinsights.com/wind-turbine-blade-recycling-market/) reports.
